Veiligheidsregio Groningen. An identity designed for collaboration.
Summary
Veiligheidsregio Groningen, the safety region of Groningen, runs the fire service, disaster response and crisis management, always together with other parties. That collaboration had to become visible. The visual language is made of round shapes that never stand apart, with motion that scales up the way the organisation itself scales up. In the background when things are calm, in the foreground the moment things go wrong. In collaboration with RTRN Creative Agency.
Safety never belongs to one organisation. It happens between the fire service, crisis services, municipalities and the people who live there.
How do you give form to something that only exists when it happens together?
Veiligheidsregio Groningen is a public organisation that works with residents to keep the region a safe place to live and work.
It is responsible for the fire service, disaster response, crisis management and medical assistance in Groningen.
Safety is not the responsibility of one person or organisation. It always happens in collaboration. With other crisis organisations, but also with the local neighbourhood or the village.
The role of Veiligheidsregio Groningen is to navigate all of that, and to step forward the moment there is a crisis.
In collaboration with RTRN Creative Agency.
Round shapes that always relate to each other. Motion that scales up the way the organisation itself scales up.
A visual language that behaves like the organisation
The visual language uses round shapes that are always used in relation to each other. Never apart. Always in constant communication.
Where motion is used, it follows the principles of the organisation itself: scaling up and responding fast.
The result is an identity that shows not only who Veiligheidsregio Groningen is, but also how it works. In the background when things are calm. In the foreground the moment things go wrong.
An identity that behaves the way the organisation works. Together where it can. In front when it must.
