Privacy
What I know about you. Spoiler: not much.
My site stores almost no data. You still leave traces here, and you have a right to know which. Everything is below, in plain language. This is a translation of the Dutch text; if the two ever differ, the Dutch one applies.
The short version
- I see how many people visit and what they read, through Google Analytics.
- If you fill in a form, I keep what you write so I can reply.
- I sell nothing on. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- Want to see something or have it deleted? One email is enough.
Who I am
This site belongs to Tobias de Calonne, independent designer in The Hague (Chamber of Commerce no. 69779333). I am responsible for what happens to your data. Questions about it go to hello@tobiasdecalonne.com.
When you look around
This site runs Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager. It places cookies and tells me how many people visit, how they got here, on what kind of device and which pages they read. I use that to see which work people are interested in. Not to follow you.
Google processes that data for me and may store it outside the European Union. If you would rather it didn’t, refuse or clear cookies in your browser. The site works exactly the same afterwards.
When you follow the work session
After you sign up, I keep your contact details and personal access link and send an access email through Resend. I keep the delivery status to see whether that email was accepted, delivered or not delivered. Replies go to my own email address.
With your consent for statistics, I also measure visits, sign-up steps, video progress and clicks on the access email, the worksheet and the booking button. After you sign up, these measurements of my own can be linked to your contact details. Without that consent, signing up, watching and booking keep working. You can change your choice through Cookie settings.
The availability and booking calendar from Cal.com only load when you open the booking button. I fill in your name and email address there for you, so you don’t have to type them again; Cal.com processes those and whatever you enter there for the appointment. If a different booking link is set, I use the provider that belongs to it. A click on the booking button does not yet count as a booked appointment on my side.
When you fill in a form
If you sign up for Originals, I keep your first name, email address, what you are looking for and the choices from the check.
I use that to reply and to prepare our conversation. Nothing more. That is allowed because you ask for it yourself.
I keep it for as long as we are in touch or working together. If nothing comes of it, I delete it within a year. If you become a client, I keep invoices for seven years, because the Dutch tax authority requires it.
When you email, call or message
Then your details are in my inbox or on my phone. Nobody else goes through them, and I clear them out on the same terms as above.
Who else sees anything
A few parties help run this site and technically see what they need for that, such as your IP address. Webflow hosts the site, on Cloudflare’s servers. Images and video come through Webflow and Bunny. Google does the statistics. They only get what they need to do their job.
What your browser remembers
One small thing, only while your tab is open: that you have already seen the opening screen, so you don’t get it again every time. That stays on your own device.
What you can ask
You can always find out which data I have about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to what I do with it. Email hello@tobiasdecalonne.com and you will have an answer within a month, usually much sooner.
If we can’t sort it out together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
When something changes
If something on the site changes that changes any of this, I update this page. The date below says when that last happened.
